My approach is practical, honest and empowering. I don't tell students what to do - I teach them how to think so they can make better decisions, handle inevitable challenges, and create outcomes they are proud of.
For parents, I offer reassurance that your student is supported by someone who understands the system inside and out. I'm not guessing.. I know how this works.
For students, I offer clarity, strategy, and a path forward that actually makes sense.
Because success in post-secondary isn't accidental. It's built - intentially.
Hello and Welcome!
I'm Deanna.
I'm an award-winning professor and student success strategist with over twenty-five years of experience inside post-secondary education.
Here's the truth: post-secondary education is a completely different world. What worked in high school often doesn't translate, and many students soon discover they feel unprepared, overwhelmed, and unsure of how to succeed.
That's where I come in.
I help students understand how post-secondary really works - academically and socially, and how their thinking drives their decision-making.. and those decisions have consequences.
From managing expectations and building effective thinking habits, to navigating workload, independence, {all while keeping a sprinkle of fun in there}, I give students the tools they didn't know they needed.
